High Meadows students at every grade level are exposed to many theatrical techniques and processes, including story making and telling, public speaking, body control, movement, and emotional expression. The Theatrical Arts program stimulates creative thinking and problem solving skills, along with providing opportunities to enhance each student’s public speaking and persuasion skills.
We begin with simple puppets and stories and expand project complexity as students become older and more experienced, ultimately including playwriting, stage design and technical theatre. We also have a variety of multi-age projects, in which younger students benefit from the guidance of older students, who in turn have the opportunity to improve their leadership skills.
